World Golf Hall of Fame Members Nancy Lopez and David Graham headline three-day event  featuring demo day, live music, kids zone, museum tours, putting contests and more

St. Augustine, Fla. (Sept. 21, 2015) – For the second consecutive year, World Golf Village in St. Augustine (conveniently located off I-95) will showcase its property to North Florida residents of all ages during Golf Festival on Oct. 2-4.

Golf Festival, a one-of-a-kind event, will feature interactive activities throughout the day including a golf clinic, a Demo Day at the Slammer & Squire golf course, food trucks, wine tasting, entertainment by the Charlie Walker Band and Ryan Campbell, and unique playing experiences at the Hall of Fame. Admission into the event and event parking are complimentary.

Headlining Golf Festival will be World Golf Hall of Fame Members Nancy Lopez and David Graham, who will conduct a golf clinic Saturday, participate in an engaging Q&A session and sign autographs.

“We are thrilled to bring back Golf Festival for the second year here at World Golf Village,” said Jack Peter, President of the World Golf Hall of Fame. “We welcome Hall of Fame Members Nancy Lopez and one of our newest Inductees David Graham, who will join in the festivities as we celebrate all that is great about golf.”

The Hall of Fame Museum will offer free admission both Saturday and Sunday and will feature tours of its new exhibits with historian Dr. Tony Parker. There will be a Closest to the Pin contest with prizes at the Hall of Fame Challenge Hole. Museum guests can play Nintendo Wii Golf, and there will also be a Kid Zone at the Slammer & Squire driving range with LPGA and The First Tee stations, bounce house and face painting.

The Demo Day driving range experience at Slammer & Squire will be held Saturday and include representatives from Callaway, Nike, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist and One Putt Designs among others. A “Trick Shot Master” will also be at the Slammer & Squire, performing his unique golf show on the driving range, alongside a PGA TOUR Academy golf clinic. That will be followed by a free family golf experience from 3-5 p.m. Tee times are free, and must be reserved by calling (904) 940-6116.

The PGA TOUR Academy will be on site throughout the day with a series of golf challenges. Guests can play golf corn hole and other interactive games. Kids can try their luck in hitting a floating green. The event features plenty of family-friendly activities including an Adult-Junior Hall of Fame Golf Tournament Sunday (online registration required) and Putting Championship on Sunday with qualifying rounds on Saturday.

Golf Festival officially begins Friday, Oct. 2 when the Slammer & Squire hosts a Kickoff Tournament. The field is limited to 20 teams of four, who will participate in a scramble format. The cost is $200 per foursome. Each participant will have a chance to compete in a “Closest to the Pin” and “Long Drive” contests and will receive a gift bag. Reservations are required with the golf course.

The Hall of Fame IMAX Theater will also be open, playing the newest Hollywood film, The Walk, with showtimes throughout the afternoon.
