PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL. (May 21, 2024) – The 2024 World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by CME Group will feature notable representatives from the world of golf and beyond to welcome in the 2024 Class of Inductees, which includes: Padraig Harrington and Sandra Palmer along with the late Johnny Farrell, Beverly Hanson, Tom Weiskopf and the Founders of the LPGA.
Special guests include:
Padraig Harrington: presented by son, Paddy Harrington
Sandra Palmer: presented by Grammy-award winning Canadian singer Anne Murray
Tom Weiskopf: presented by CBS Sports’ Jim Nantz
LPGA Founders: presented by World Golf Hall of Fame member Nancy Lopez and 2014 U.S. Women’s Open Champion Michelle Wie West
The families of Johnny Farrell, Beverly Hanson and Tom Weiskopf
Grammy Award winner and multi-Diamond certified artist Darius Rucker will host the ceremony, which will also feature a special tribute to Payne Stewart on the 25th anniversary of his win at the 1999 U.S. Open at Pinehurst, delivered by Peter Jacobsen.
Stephen “Steph” Curry will be receiving the 2024 Charlie Sifford Award presented by Southern Company, presented by Chris Womack, Southern Company’s president and CEO.
The 2024 World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by CME Group is a ticketed event being held at the Carolina Hotel, which is part of Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in the Village of Pinehurst, N.C. The Induction Ceremony will air live on Golf Channel on Monday, June 10 at 7 p.m. ET and will help kick off the week of the 124th U.S. Open.
The 2024 event also marks a “return” to Pinehurst for the World Golf Hall of Fame, which 50 years ago opened at Pinehurst before moving to St. Augustine, Fla., in 1998. Earlier this month, the World Golf Hall of Fame opened its new location as part of USGA’s Golf House Pinehurst, a seven-acre campus located footsteps from the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club main clubhouse. The new World Golf Hall of Fame location now sits alongside USGA’s equipment-testing and research facility, the visitor-friendly USGA Experience and an outdoor educational landscape feature. The World Golf Hall of Fame and USGA Experience are now open to the public, and admission is free through June.
